Pandit Pravin Godkhindi is from Dharwad, which is considered the cradle of Hindustani music in Karnataka. His father, Venkatesh Godkhindi, a renowned vocalist and bansuri artist, was his first guru, teaching him Kirana Gharana Gayaki style. He gave his first concert at the age of 6 and held the audience spellbound. Later under mridangum artist Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma, he mastered the layakari. Pravin later added the Gatkaari and Tantrakaari styles to his music knowledge by his own effort.
In 2015, Pravin became the first to perform Indian classical music on the 8-foot-long contrabass flute. He is adept in traditional, creative, western, Carnatic and fusion styles of music.
Pravin has performed with eminent musicians like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dr. Balamuralikrishna, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr. Kadri Gopalnath, Sivamani and many more. He has received innumerable awards both nationally and internationally, including an award from the honorable president of India for the music of the films Beru and Vimukthi. Pravin is the first artist from Karnataka to represent India in bansuri at the World Flutes Festival in Argentina.
He is a recipient of many awards, including the Bharat Gaurav award and an Excellence in Education award. Narendra is the Chairman of the Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation, Mangalore.
Ishaan Ghosh received intensive training from his father, the renowned tabla and sitar maestro, Pt. Nayan Ghosh. As a child prodigy, he has carved a niche for himself as a full-fledged soloist as well as a collaborator, having performed with accomplished vocalists and musicians such as Pt. Jasraj, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Dr. N. Rajam, Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Taufiq Qureshi, Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Niladri Kumar, Rakesh Chaurasia, Rahul Deshpande, and Purbayan Chatterjee.
Ishaan has regularly presented his music to audiences in India and the world over at prestigious venues and music festivals, winning him critical acclaim and rave reviews. He was awarded with the Baba Allauddin Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2012, the Achievement Award by President Jimmy Carter in 2016, the Rising Star Award in 2019, and the Kalashree Samman from the Government of Maharashtra in 2020.
Sukhad Munde was born into the musical family of the great pakhawaj maestro Pt. Manik Munde and started his pakhawaj and tabla training at the age of 6 under Guru-Shishya Parampara from his father and guru. He has gotten inspiration with blessings from gurus like Bhakt Ganesh Anna Choudhary and Prof. Pt. Govindrao Deshmukh. Sukhad got Swar-Gyan from the well-known Dhrupad Guru Pt. Uday Bhawalkar.
Suryakant Surve has been active in music for the last 30 years and is the most sought after side percussionist in India. Achieving several accolades over the years, he’s not only mastered his instrument but has done so by amazing many. He’s played for large broadcasters such as Doordarshan and All India Radio, and took part in the Geet Ramayan at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, performing with Shri Shankar Mahadevan. Suryakant has worked with acclaimed singers including Lata Mangeshkar and Hariharan.
