The Vanaver Caravan: World Dance & Music for the Winter Season
Families are invited to join The Vanaver Caravan for a fully participatory multicultural dance & music experience. The Caravan will teach various holiday dances that celebrate the many occasions & traditions (Christmas, Chanukah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Solstice) during the winter season and how they bring light into the darkest time of year. Lifting spirits, inspiring joy, and building a sense of community are signature qualities of The Vanaver Caravan.
All ages and abilities welcome!
Psst….. The Caravan will be talent scouting for some young dancers to participate in their upcoming holiday production at The Egg, Into the Light: A Tale of Hope featuring giant puppets on Saturday, December 5th. A few dances from this special Family Circle will be in the show!

The Vanaver Caravan is a Hudson Valley-based nonprofit organization that performs original, world-infused choreography and music, both locally and internationally. Drawing from their ever-expanding repertoire of dance and music traditions, The company also provides cross-cultural dance education through in-school arts residencies and after-school classes. Wherever The Vanaver Caravan goes, dance and music follows, inspiring people in every walk of life to join together in song, dance, and celebration. The Vanaver Caravan is a 2026 NYSCA grant recipient for Arts Education, Touring Performances & Community Programming.
About Family Circle:
The Egg’s Family Circle is a monthly series designed especially for families to connect, create, and experience the arts together.
Held on the first Saturday of every month at 2PM in The Egg’s lobby, this free program offers a welcoming, informal environment where kids and caregivers alike can feel at home.
This isn’t a concert where kids have to sit quietly; each program is purposefully interactive, celebrating arts from around the globe with creatives who are based right here in the Capital Region.
