Family Circle: Albany Symphony

Music Saturday, March 6 2027 2:00pm FREE with RSVP

Part of the Family Circle Series

Join Albany Symphony on a musical exploration of sound! This hour-long program is split into two parts. The first half introduces you to the sounds of orchestral instruments on their own and how beautifully they can play together in a chamber ensemble. Then in the second half, we put the instruments in your hands! Bow a violin, pucker up to the trumpet or trombone, set your embouchure for a clarinet, and more. Staff and volunteers will guide you through the basics of making sounds with each instrument, teach beginner techniques, and, yes, sanitize the instruments between each use. The program is geared toward elementary age children and their families and will be presented in a way that is inclusive for individuals with special needs or sensory sensitivities.

About Family Circle:

The Egg’s Family Circle is a monthly series designed especially for families to connect, create, and experience the arts together.

Held on the first Saturday of every month at 2PM in The Egg’s lobby, this free program offers a welcoming, informal environment where kids and caregivers alike can feel at home.

This isn’t a concert where kids have to sit quietly; each program is purposefully interactive, celebrating arts from around the globe with creatives who are based right here in the Capital Region.

The Egg’s Family Circle Series is supported by M&T Bank
