OPEN House

Family Saturday, June 21 2025 2:00pm FREE with RSVP (Suggested $15)

Part of the Open House Series

Don’t miss The Egg’s Last Hurrah OPEN House: a free, all-ages hangout with games, movies, and music on Saturday, June 21 from 2PM–6PM. If you can’t make it to one of our Last Hurrah ticketed shows, this is a great opportunity to check out The Egg before we temporarily close for renovations in July.

For the first time ever, we’re turning The Egg into a giant arcade. The Hart Theatre Lobby will be packed with classic arcade games, giant board games by Upstate Jamboree, 16 player foosball, sit down racing games, pinball, air hockey, and so much more.

Head over to the Swyer Theatre for film screenings of Wreck-It Ralph (at 2:15PM) and the 1995 adventure classic Jumanji (at 4PM).

In the Hart Theatre, live out your rockstar dreams playing the “Rock Band” multiplayer video game on our larger stage with full lights, fog machines, and select pro-level electronic instruments (along with the ones needed for the game). It’ll be like putting on your own concert! Form your groups and sign up on a first come, first serve basis.

DJ2NDCH!LD will be spinning tunes in the lobby, presented by our neighbors at DIVE.

The New York State Museum, New York State Library, and New York State Archives will also have booths with incredible historical content related to The Egg and Empire State Plaza, plus info on reading and education resources.

While the event is free, we suggest a $15 donation to help support programming like this in the future. Please RSVP; it helps us prepare for crowd size!
